Dogs that occupy the shelter usually have tons of affection to offer but sadly not always they find the families easily.

Shelter dog likes to hug everyone he sees, and is trying to find his forever home

One shelter dog was so friendly and had the simplest personality but he was expecting sometime and had no luck find his forever home. The shelter hoped he would soon find an honest family.

A 5 year old dog named Toro first ended up at the Town of Hempstead Animal Shelter in Wantagh, ny a year ago, after he was seized from a property along side two other dogs.

“Toro was found with a 15.7 lb pound collar and chain around his neck, tied to a fence, at an abandoned home,” his shelter bio explains. “Thankfully, we removed them off their chains and brought them to safety.”

Sweet dog had problems adjusting to the new surroundings a bit like every other dog that has lived a rough life.

“When he first came in, he was very nervous and pack up ,” Melissa Fogarty, the shelter’s kennel and placement supervisor, told The Dodo.

“He’s become easier with people he’s wont to , but remains a touch nervous within the shelter setting.”

Melissa realized soon that the sweet pooch had tons to offer .

“I was probably one among the primary people to require him out for an actual socialized walk when he came in,” she said.

During that walk the sweet dog suddenly jumped and gave her an enormous tight hug.

“He just quite crawled up to me, climbed on my lap, and pressed himself against my chest … from there it grew and now he hugs all his friends here.”

Rescue Dog Gives Hugs To Everyone He Sees - The Dodo

After the walk Toro became famous on the shelter about his love for hugs, he likes to jump and hugs everyone he meets.

“Every time he comes out of the kennel, his first reaction is to hug the person walking him, and anyone, really, he comes in touch with,” Melissa told The Dodo.

The sweet pooch is filled with love, but he still hasn’t had any luck finding his forever home.

In January he was adopted but was brought back after just one and half weeks that left him sad and wanting to get trained.

“Toro was sadly never properly socialized and trained before coming to our shelter and possibly lived outside his entire life,” the shelter wrote. “It is extremely important to offer Toro structure, have him crate trained and teach him basic obedience.”

They also want to seek out a home that has no other pets or children, but the shelter is certain that there's a tremendous home out there for this amazing pooch, since he's at the shelter for a year now.

“We want to ascertain this boy during a loving home, in any case he’s been through, he deserves the simplest .”

We hope this sweet canine will soon find his forever loving home.
