It is devastating for a dog to be abandoned by his family. Families might refuse to require care of sick or elderly dogs, but they are doing not realize the quantity of misery it brings to the dog once they abandon him.
Ray, an 8-year-old Labrador retriever , was found wandering alone within the streets of Torrance, California, after being dumped by his family. His eyes were sad and crusty. Hunger had rendered his body skeletal-thin, and his coat-fur was missing in places.
Ray was rescued by the workers at Carson Shelter in California. The shelter volunteers helped Ray gain back a number of his health, but he remained depressed. Soon, he was put up for adoption. It seemed that the preference for senior dogs was quite low.
Update: Ray has been adopted! Ray’s love for humans hasn’t changed one bit. He still responds to each human amorously . Seeing him so sad and dejected within the video just broke our hearts. We hope Ray nurses back his spirits fast and continues to be showered amorously and care.

ReplyDeleteAs the days and years go by...as the dog has beautiful loving owners...people will live their lives, etc...but there will always be someone who remembers what those people did...GOD!
DeleteI would have taken him but then I saw he was in California (I live in Ontario, Canada) and has already been adopted. I hope he is well loved.
ReplyDeleteThere is a special SPECIAL, place in hell for peds and animal abusers. Stealing innocence will cost the ULTIMATE price. Remember that.
ReplyDeletePeople are such ass holes. People like that are heartless and suck!! Yes , they will go to hell.
ReplyDeleteI would take him in a New York minute if I lived in California.....he's so handsome!!
ReplyDeleteI wish punishment for abuse, neglect, cruelty, abandonment, etc of animals was harsher than it is!! Politicians needs to realize animals are family not property!!
It is time now, for the police, the judicial, criminal courts and the judges to come down hard on those who are now caught. Severe penalties to prevent cruel intentions to the animals of which can not defend themselves. Thank You Law Maker's in Congress to now allow legal prevention. All of those millions of untold stories of cruelty of those animals that had no voice in the past... Now today, can be a start to a new beginning so longly awaited for. Animal Cruelty Prevention. I clearly stand as an ' Animal Right's Advocate ' proudly. Congratulations for these new laws...
ReplyDeleteAlso abandonment is now considered animal abuse and now is illegal... use your cameras and record it all. That footage then become evidence. Scott Lanson
All my babies are rescued and the love I get from them you cannot put a price on...
