The dog stared at them with a faint smile - as if he was thanking them before a final farewell. This is the harsh reality that rescuers have to face.
Dennis Hell Bull was starved and neglected by his owner for a protracted period of your time . Soon, ticks infested his body and sucked the life out of him. When the owner saw the weakened dog was unable to maneuver , the owner simply drove Dennis to a bridge and left him there to die alone.
A young skater named Gabriel Sepulveda was passing by the bridge when he spotted the lifeless Dennis. He recalled the rescue “Hope For Paws” saving many dogs on the brink of death, and quickly reached bent them.
The rescuers were horrified once they actually witnessed Dennis’ plight. He was skin and bones and his organs were already within the process of shutting down. They got him to the hospital and immediately began the arduous procedure of removing the ticks one by one.
After the ticks were cleaned off, Dennis got a rejuvenating bath that brought him back to his senses. He watched in awe as his rescuers switched between neurologists, cardiologists, and general medicine specialists to urge him help. But even after blood transfusions and special care, Dennis never recovered.
Just 5 days after his rescue, Dennis gave up the ghost within the comforting company of his rescuers. Before bidding his final farewell, he flashed them a faint smile to thank them for creating him feel loved and wanted in his final days.
The defeated rescuers are emotionally exhausted as they’re trying to process Dennis’ unjustified death. Sadly, this is often the tough reality that each rescuer faces every now then . But such sad endings are often avoided if people speak up whenever they see any sort of animal abuse. We hope Dennis is during a better place now. Rest in peace, sweetheart!
