Information being sought after puppy found inside of crate that was set on fire

 A puppy was injured after the plastic crate she was held in was assail fire. On Wednesday, the Columbus Division of fireside posted photos of the injured pup, and recounted what's known about the cruel incident, writing:



Columbus Fire and Explosives Unit Investigators are requesting help from the community in identifying whomever is liable for a group fire on the side .


On October 11, 2020, between 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m., alittle puppy was assail fire while in her plastic cage/crate. the hearth occurred in Walnut Hill Park on the side of Columbus, near Walnut Hill Road and Saranac Drive.




Firefighters skilled the park just after noon and located alittle area of melted plastic ablaze underneath a tree within the park. As firefighters were extinguishing the hearth , they observed alittle yellow/ blond puppy with white feet, and a white flea collar, running within the area. The firefighters realized that the puppy had black plastic melted to her back and realized the puppy had been within the cage.



 

The puppy was delivered to a veterinarian, and treated for her burns. A member of the staff at the veterinary hospital adopted the pup and she or he is claimed to be doing “remarkably well.”



Information needed

Fire investigators are working with Columbus Humane Society agents to spot who is liable for injuring the puppy. Investigators are posing for the public’s help in identifying the puppy, or the puppy’s former owner.
