This tiny dog’s struggles after her rescue had me in tears. When Lemon the Chihuahua was delivered to the Kent County Animal Shelter as a stray, she was emaciated, hypothermic and dehydrated and had growths on her eyes.
She was in such unfitness that she didn't have enough energy to even get up or sit upright. the sole thing that appeared to be performing on her tiny body was her tail, which wagged whenever a rescuer picked her up or gave her some food.
This video traces her heartbreaking condition when she first received the shelter to her uplifting recovery together with her family . Lemon has such a fighting spirit and large heart that it’s no wonder she caught the eye of a loving family, who took her home!
